Cost of Throne Stem Cell Treatment

Because the Throne Stem Cell Treatment has not yet been approved by the FDA, most health plans consider it to be investigational and will not pay for it. Thus, patients must self-pay until the FDA approves the treatment.  The current price for Throne Stem Cell Treatment for children 14 and up and for adults is $35,000. This amount will be due once you or your child has been accepted for treatment.

By comparison, the cost for stem cell treatment for type 1 diabetes with the FDA-approved Lantidra© is estimated to be around $300,000. Thus, even though Throne Stem Cell Treatment is not yet FDA-approved, your health insurance plan may wish to cover it anyway, especially if your health insurance plan is employer-funded in which case you may also wish to discuss this with your HR or benefits department.
